Hey there, I’m Lauren

I’ve been known to have a camera in hand since I even knew what one was - which was probably about five or six years old.

I grew up fascinated by the boxes upon boxes filled with photographs my dad took throughout the years. He documented everything. My dad even gave me my first film camera - a purple and yellow point and shoot - and we would go on walks together so I could practice taking pictures of whatever caught my eye.

I feel that the best way to describe what I do is that I am an archivist. Every time I pick up a camera I think back to my family’s photo albums and understand the weight of having tangible images to cherish for years to come. It is an absolute honor to preserve these moments.

  • Images are always edited by yours truly in my signature style. I believe in true-to-you editing, meaning if it's not a part of your natural self (blemishes, smudged makeup, etc), I gotchu covered. Anything that is a permanent part of you is beautiful, and I wouldn't dare change a thing. I also do my best to remove trash, distracting elements, exit signs, etc. Please keep in mind that I do not do any head-swapping, people swapping/removing, or complicated edits.

  • A second photographer is always a good idea to have around. If you're getting ready in two separate locations, have a wedding with 100+ guests, want more photos of your guests, or have a tight timeline, a second photographer is a great addition to your wedding team. Still can't decide if a second shooter is right for you? We can go over all the pros and cons and whether a second photographer makes sense for your day. I will give my honest opinion how the day will play out, so you know exactly what would happen either way!

  • I have backups on backups on backups. While I keep two cameras at the ready at all times, I keep an extra in the car just in case something crazy happens - I fall in a river, my bag gets stolen, etc. Once I get home your images are stored in three separate locations. I guarantee storage of your wedding images for two years post-wedding and strongly encourage all of my couples to download and backup all images from their wedding ASAP - your gallery is only guaranteed for one year!

  • In the past seven years, I have never missed a wedding. However, I have access to a team of incredible photographers and will make sure one is at your wedding. I will always do my best to be there.

  • Don't sweat it - we will have fun and make sure you are comfortable! If music will help ya' out, bring a playlist or send me a list of your favorite songs to jam out to and we can play them during your session! If you're worried about being awkward on your wedding day - that's what the engagement session is for! I'll use some of that time to teach you a few poses we can use on your wedding day so you know exactly what to expect for your portraits. Other than that, I encourage you to be your authentic self - I'm not big on overly posing everything!

Enough about me,
I want to hear all about you.
